Bastion's soundtrack is a haunting medley of blues and acoustic rock, and last summer's Xbox Live Arcade hit was surely bettered by it. It even won the awards for "best original score" and "best song in a game" at last month's Spike TV Video Game Awards (though we'd like to take this opportunity to point out that we've formally contested their choice for best song).

Luckily, the acoustic performance above by the game's audio director and songwriter Darren Korb and vocalist Ashley Barrett covers both the VGA's choice and ours: "Build That Wall (Zia's Theme)" and "Setting Sail, Coming Home (End Theme)".

It's hauntingly gorgeous (and he only messes up once!). Was there another game soundtrack last year you preferred? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
