We were a little jealous when we learned that regions outside the US would be getting the 3D Classics version of the original Kid Icarus just for registering two 3DS games with Club Nintendo. We even asked them when the 3D port would be coming to the US, though they responded with a classy "no comment."
Apparently they weren't yet ready to announce that the game would be available in North America as a pre-order bonus for Kid Icarus: Uprising at "select retailers." It's unclear whether it'll also be available for separate purchase in the eShop like it is in those other regions.
Of course, if they don't, you can always just play Flip Industries' Super Kid Icarus for free in your browser. Thank us in the comments or on Twitter—just don't tell Nintendo we told you.
