Square-Enix Europe has trademarked the name Hitman: Profession, according to Siliconera.
Square-Enix already has a Hitman game on the books, Hitman: Absolution, which is set to release next year. Given the popularity of the series, it wouldn't be a stretch to think that Square-Enix may be looking to annualize the series.
The filing may give a name to the untitled Hitman project currently being developed by Eidos Montreal. Of course, it could also be an entirely new project: Given the slew of new and upcoming hardware, there are a whole range of possibilities.
