If someone told you to guess which bird scientists were studying with hopes of improving unmanned aerial drones of the future, you would probably say an eagle or a hawk. And you would wrong. A research team from Harvard has surprisingly been studying the way pigeons fly.

Yes, pigeons—rats with wings, the bottom-feeders of NYC—are being looked at for hints and tips on how to better the future of unmanned aviation. Reuters caught up with one of the PhDs working on the project and had him explain exactly why the pigeon is such an interesting subject. Peep the video to learn all about it.
