ComScore released data on the top mobile phone manufacturers today (smartphone and not), and Samsung holds on to the top spot with over a quarter of the market locked up. The Korean tech giant slightly increased its share in 2011, and now makes 25.6 percent of the mobile phones in the US.

Rounding out the top 5 are LG, Motorola, Apple and RIM. While Apple's sole mobile phone, the iPhone, only landed the company in fourth place overall, Apple was the fastest growing of the bunch. Its market share increased by over a full percentage point to 11.2 percent. RIM had the toughest year and lost .6 percent of its share. At 5th place, it holds on to 6.5 percent of the mobile phone market.
