With the holiday season in full swing, many will soon be engaging in shared reminiscences of the year that was. Twitter has already gotten the ball rolling, launching a new site called Stories that gathers some of the more noteworthy events of the year as seen through the social network.
Twitter itself played a roll in all the stories posted on the site, and in a testament to the the social network's growing influence, many of them you've probably already heard of. There's the #January25 protests in Egypt, Kevin Durant's flag football pickup game, and the guy who live-tweeted the US government's raid of Osama Bin-Laden's compound, among others.
Check out Stories.Twitter.com for the full collection of social media-enabled happenings.
