It's been a long time since we heard anything regarding Sorcery, the PlayStation Move exclusive fantasy game first teased at E3 2010. It didn't go away, though—it just had its invisibility cloak on. Today it's been lifted and Sony's announced that the game will hit shelves in Spring 2012, which isn't too far away.

From the press release: "The Nightmare Queen has broken the ancient pact with mankind and threatens to cover the land in eternal night. As a young sorcerer's apprentice, it is up to the player to master the arcane arts and fight back the foul creatures of this magical realm. Sorcery puts the power in the players' hands using the PlayStation Move motion controller and letting them conjure and command powerful magic as they brave the dark world of the Faerie Kingdoms."

Actually, that sounds pretty damn generic. At least the combo system ("freeze and shatter your enemies") sounds good, and there will be puzzles, spells, alchemy, and RPG elements to make things interesting. And the game looks impressive in the above trailer.

It's the first notable motion game that isn't also being released on a more prolific (Wii) or more interesting (Kinect) system. Will it be enough, or would you rather play sitting down? Let us know what you think in the comments or on Facebook or Twitter.
