Back in 2003, Gandhi Lora was convicted for having child pornography on his computer. Today, the former Miami-Dade police officer lives as a free man in Fort Lauderdale and the Miami-Dade Police Department has shelled out over half a million dollars to him since his conviction. How the fuck does that happen?

Despite serving jail time and being forced to register as a sex offender, Lora takes home a clean $7,200 per month in pension money from the MDPD. Worse, he's one of several ex-cops who are raping the system despite being convicted of serious crimes.

The Herald-Tribune explained how these dudes are getting over, saying that Florida's pension laws are pretty much bulletproof, and you'll have an easier time getting your leg out of a bear trap than separating them from that money. This presents police with a dilemma: be a righteous human being and uphold what you protect and serve, or be a disgusting person and rack it up at the end of the day, even if you get caught.

If you're a scumbag, it's an easy decision.
