EA announced yesterday that the freemium version of their popular Need for Speed series would be getting its most expensive DLC yet—the Koenigsegg CCX "Elite" Edition downloadable car for $100. Jesus.

As a freemium game, NFS World relies on digital purchases to turn a buck, and it should be noted that most items cost considerably less than this. With million of players, though, there are sure to be at least a few with nothing better to spend their benjamins on than a virtual vehicle.

The Swedish car is only the first of future planned "premium elite" DLC items for the game. Would you ever pay that much for DLC? What do you think of people who do? Let us know in the comments or on Facebook or Twitter.
