During a press conference where disgraced former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky's lawyer, Joe Amendola, attempted to question the credibility of the allegations against his client, he said something a little...interesting. Speaking to anyone who believed that Mike McQueary was telling the truth when he claimed to have seen Sandusky sexually assaulting a young boy in the Penn State showers, Amendola said, "I suggest you dial 1-800-REALITY."
Sports blog Deadspin actually did. And, this is what they got:
None
So, basically, Sandusky's lawyer just told everyone to call a gay phone sex hotline in an effort to clear his client's name. That's an...interesting move.
Then again, Amendola's been making a lot of those lately - just yesterday, he waived Sandusky's right to a preliminary hearing on behalf of Sandusky himself, a move that most top L.A. criminal defense lawyers are calling "mind-numbingly stupid."
