The Daily Beast issued its second-annual list of America's Drunkest Cities, with Boston claiming the number one spot. The 25 city list includes places you'd expect to see (Vegas), but doesn't include other places you were probably certain you'd see (New York City).
Using data from top market-research firm Experian Simmons, they based their rankings on the number of alcoholic drinks consumed monthly. In addition, they used the CDC's data on the percentage of the population that binge drinks in each area.
Boston should wear this soggy crown with pride.
