German developer Piranha Bytes, has just released the box art for their Risen 2: Dark Waters, the sequel to Risen, a fantasy single-player RPG.
The story of Risen 2 picks up as the Inquisition calls upon the player, a nameless hero, to stop the massive sea creatures that are wreaking havoc on the shipping lines and cutting off the islands' supplies. In the game there are also pirates who have experience dealing with the sea creatures, though they're not so willing to help.
One of the major additions to the gameplay of Risen 2, is the use of firearms. There is also the use of so-called "Dirty Tricks," which can be used to confuse or attack enemies in combat.
Risen 2: Dark Waters is being developed by Piranha Bytes, and published by Deep Silver[S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Sacred 2, Dead Island] to be released in April 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
