Can you believe that it has been 7 long years since Blizzard changed the world of MMO’s with World of Warcraft? The game officially turns 7 on November 23, 2011 and Blizzard is looking to get everyone who plays the game involved in the celebration. Anyone who logs in between November 20 and December 3 will receive a special Feat of Strength and a celebration package item. When the package is used in the game, it sets off a fireworks display and temporarily grants a special tabard and a 7% experience and reputation bonus.
Blizzard has also prepared an all new television spot for the game which will make its debut tomorrow during the Chargers and Bears NFL game on CBS. The new commercial will air sometime during the first half of the game and is said to feature a “special star”. As for who that star is, we will have to tune in and find out.
