Something fishy is brewing the various aggregate sites around the Internet. While the gaming media seem to be overwhelmingly pleased with Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the gaming community itself doesn’t seem to share that same opinion. Check out this article if you want to see what we are talking about.

Gamers are submitting user reviews for the title everywhere with scores that are bottoming out the various rating scales. For example, while the game is currently carrying a Metacritic score for the Xbox 360 version of the game is an admirable 89/100, the user is a shocking 3/10. Things go even lower on the PS3 and PC platforms with 2.3 and 1.7 scores respectively. Why are people so unhappy with this game?

Has the Call of Duty series finally worn out its welcome? This year’s installment isn’t any more similar to the last game than any of the previous editions before it were to the games that preceded them. This seemed to please people endlessly in the past but suddenly the charm has worn off and the people are revolting. What gives? Let’s be honest, we all knew what we were getting with this game (and for the record, we don’t think that is a bad thing). Were you really expecting more?
