Black Friday always has its fair share of WTF moments, but last night in Los Angeles things took an ugly turn at a Wal-Mart. With thousands of shoppers eagerly anticipating great deals from Macy's, Best Buy, and other stores nationwide, despite the economic recession, a female shopper decided to get the upper-hand on discounted electronics by pepper spraying a crowd to keep the away.
At least 20 shoppers suffered minor injuries and police are still looking for the woman. The incident occurred shortly after 10:20 PM on Thursday as shoppers were let inside the store to begin prowling for Black Friday deals. Most openings around the country were peaceful, but the as-yet-to-be identified woman began shooting the pepper spray when the coverings of items she wanted were removed, according to LAPD.
Is it absurd with all of the #occupy protests going on in this country, all the police assaults, that someone would use such a dangerous weapon to covet mere gadgets.
