Given the reputably cutthroat nature of the entertainment industry, it's hard to believe that celebrities have relationships that aren't planned by a publicist. Yet, some stars maintain seemingly genuine friendships despite these presumptions. Take Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift's budding BFF status, for instance. The former Disney star recently joined her self-proclaimed best friend on stage at Madison Square Garden for a duet of Gomez's hit "Who Says." 15. TINA FEY AND AMY POEHLER

When Tina Fey and Amy Poehler met in Chicago during the start of their careers, Amy admitted that she “finally found the woman she wanted to marry.” Tina Fey proposed and asked Poehler to be her comedy wife as her co-host for “Weekend Update”on Saturday Night Live. Together they starred in Mean Girls and Baby Mama, where Poehler’s character was Fey’s surrogate mother. The sign of true friendship is if they’ll say “yes” when you ask if they can have your baby.

The Kidman/Watts friendship is so well-known that people have fan vids of their BFF-ness on YouTube. While Bush credits Snow for supporting her through her divorce with former One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray, Snow credits Sophia for helping her win her nine-year battle with anoerexia. Snow told the press, “Sophia gives really, really good advice. I was going through a difficult time, and she was going through a difficult time figuring out the whole Chad thing. We had so many slumber parties where she held my hand through a lot of different things. When somebody can be there through something like that, they're a friend forever."

Ah, one of the most infamous friendships in Hollywood. The Hilton-Lohan on-again off-again relationship gave the press a seemingly infinite amount of tabloid fodder. They've beefed when Paris was an accomplice to Brandon Davis's “firecrotch” comment and they've also been at odds when one has gone after the other's ex-boyfriend. Still, nothing could keep the two notorious party girls away from each another. Despite Lilo allegedly calling Paris a "cunt," she's insisted, “I never said that. I love Paris. Paris is my friend.” While the tabloids blew the drama up, we saw these types of girls all the time in high school, so it's nothing new.

It’s weird enough to see Beyonce and Gwyneth Paltrow in the same sentence, let alone know that they’re a pack of string and beads away from making each other friendship bracelets. Not only was Paltrow by Beyonce’s side during her historic moment as the first female to headline the Glastonbury Festival, but she was also aboard Queen Bey’s yacht in Venice, Italy during her birthday weekend last September.
