Soundcloud today rolled out a new HTML 5 option for its popular audio player, which will allow users of the music-sharing service to make their tracks accessible on more devices. Previously, Soundcloud tracks relied on Flash technology to be played, meaning anyone stumbling upon a song from an iOS device was out of luck.

For now, the new HTML 5 player is still in beta and is an optional feature of the traditional player, but hopefully the company will soon make the full switch. HTML 5 is not only optimized for use on more devices, it's faster and less processor intensive than Flash, which is still used by the majority of websites.
