Though it was initially unclear what he was protesting and what his sign read, a man wearing a long-sleeved black T-shirt and an American flag bandana dangled over the Tappan Zee Bridge today with an elaborate banner. It was later determined that the sign said something along the lines of "ROCKLAND EXECUTIVE LEGISLATURE COVER UP RETALIATION..." and The New York Patchidentified the man as Michael Davitt, who claims he was wrongfully dismissed from his job at the Rockland County Department of Mental Health.

After sipping from a thermos and eventually removing his pants, Davitt fell into the Hudson River below. Maybe he chose to jump, but either way, his ass ended up in that water. He attempted to swim away, but eventually  grabbed a life preserver that emergency workers tossed him and made his way to the rescue boat. He was said to be rather threatening when speaking at Rockland County legislative sessions, so if someone dared to ask him if he was suffering from a "case of the Mondays", he'd probably smack flames out of them. Or at least try.
