We announced earlier this week that 2K Games and the MLB were teaming up to reveal the cover athlete for the next MLB 2K12 game. It has been announced that the Detroit Tigers’ Justin Verlander will be the face of the new game.
Verlander is coming off of an incredible year and was also voted the Player of the Year and American League Outstanding Pitcher at the Players Choice Awards which aired last night. He is also expected to be awarded the Cy Young Award for 2011 as well.
Congrats to Justin on a great year and the honor of being crowned the cover athlete for Major League Baseball 2K12!
