The first fruit of HTC's big acquisition of Beats Audio has arrived in the form of the Rezound, a powerhouse of a smartphone that ships with custom Beats by Dr. Dre earbuds.

HTC announced the handset at a press event today, and the Taiwanese company didn't disappoint. The rezound boasts an impressive 1.5 ghz dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4G LTE support and a true HD 720p 4.3 inch display. And as we mentioned above, the phone adds a pair of Beats earbuds to the mix, with inline controls, that would easily fetch upwards of $100 if sold on its own.

As to be expected, the Rezound is running Android Gingerbread, but is said to be getting Ice Cream Sandwich "early next year."

So how much does all this cost and when can you get your hands on it? The phone has been priced at $299 on a two-year-contract and hits Best Buy for Verizon in less than two weeks on November 14.

The cost is premium as compared with the $200 tag we're used to, but you can't say HTC didn't deliver the goods.
