Reports emerged last night that an AK-47 was found after being discharged near the White House. United States Park Police swarmed to the scene following reports that shots were fired near 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and that two vehicles were speeding near Constitution Avenue towards 17th Street. One of the vehicles was abandoned and a loaded AK-47 was found inside of it, along with more ammo.

Additional cartridges were found on Constitution, but nobody has been taken into custody at this point. According to the Washington Post, Park Police don't believe that the White House was a target, but police have to respond to anything that happens in the area. The Obama's missed the action, as they were center court for the '09 NCAA Championship rematch between North Carolina and Michigan State. How much do you think that Presidential leather goes for?
