IndustryGamers posted a story on the fate of one of the gaming world's most revered publications.

Gamepro, one of the most well-known gaming publications since it's founding in 1996, is ending with this November's quarterly issue. By December 5, the website will close down as well, and the organization will continue to provide "custom solutions and publishing business."

"Visitors to gamepro.com will be redirected to the PCWorld GamePro channel on pcworld.com," the company stated.

It's no mystery that the print business in which Gamepro once thrived has seen better days, but all the same it is very sad to see a great publication having to surrender to the times. Complex and countless gamers around the world will remember them well, as they've maintained a quality standard in game coverage that many will aspire to.

Take a look back at Gamepro's impact in our own article on "25 Video Game Sites You Should Be Reading."
