Remember how BlackBerry started selling its PlayBook tablet at a steep, $300-off holiday discount in order to, you know, actually start selling some? Well, so far the strategy seems to be working. Best Buy has confirmed that it is completely sold out of the gadget after a Black Friday rush, and hopes to get some new inventory in soon.
The entry-level 16GB PlayBook is now retailing for $199, down from $500 when it debuted this spring. To further move units of the tablet, the company is reportedly offering it even cheaper to employees, who can own one for just 99 bucks. What great PlayBook deals await in the future?
