Electronic Arts has announced that the playable demo for Need for Speed: The Run will make its way to both the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network on October 18, 2011. That is nearly a month before the game speeds into retailers, giving you a chance to test out the wheels before you buy the car.
The demo version of the game will actually come in 2 different phases. Directly downloading the demo from the respective marketplace will give you a chance to try out the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2. Everyone will get to sit behind the steering wheel of this gorgeous car when they try the game, but if you can refer a friend to download the demo through an in-game link, you will get a new ride: the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S, 400 horsepower of luxury “umph”.
Unfortunately, there is no word on whether the demo version of the game will feature the lovely Irina Shayk and Chrissy Teigen, but we sure hope so.
