After having our hopes and dreams of a future resembling The Jetsons dashed by, well, reality, we’ve had to temper our expectations as a civilization. Luckily, if we get anywhere close to Microsoft’s vision, as seen in the video above, life will still be pretty awesome.
Paper no longer exists, every surface—car windows, refrigerator doors—is a tablet or smart desk, and everything is integrated amongst your various devices. Also, a smaller, sleek, portable tablet boasts the most intuitive OS conceivable and figures as a mobile all-in-one controller for your life. In theory, we’re close already.
