Remember back in 2000, when Trey Parker and Matt Stone (creators of South Park andThe Book of Mormon) went to the Oscars decked out in women's attire? Specifically, they wore knock-offs of the dresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez had previously worn to the awards show: Parker in a cut-to the navel, emerald green number and Stone in a blush pink gown complete with matching shawl.

Well, the comedy team recently admitted that it was not bravery alone that inspired them to take to the red carpet in full-drag, it was also with the help of a little liquid courage in the form of acid.

On a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Parker admitted: “We thought of it the week before… We had tuxes as a backup because we thought we were gonna chicken out, and we did. And we were like, ‘Let’s not do that, let’s not do that.’ But then we were like, 'Let’s take a little bit of acid.' So we did that and of course an hour later we were like, 'WE GOTTA WEAR THE DRESSES.'”

The duo, then in their late 20's, had been nominated for an Oscar for best original song. Unfortunatley, they never made it onto the stage while dressed in drag and on acid. Instead, they sat in the audience, silently tripping.
