While new NBC comedies Up All Night and Whitney (really, NBC?) were just given full-season orders, the network made the decision to cancel the low-rated period drama The Playboy Club after just three episodes. The series, which was set in early 1960's Chicago at the famous Playboy Club, averaged just 3 million viewers in the last airing, which is pretty bad when you consider that even Heroes did better.
If even Amber Heard running around in a skintight bunny corset doesn't save a series from cancellation, what hope does any show have?
