Today on Boss' Day, the nation reflects on the bosses who've done so much for us. The ones who've given us extra days off, offered a raise, and provided stability in a struggling economy. All of that's awesome, but for us, the beautiful women in power we've seen on TV and in theaters over the years are what really come to mind. Film: Coyote Ugly (2000)
In the film based on the actual Coyote Ugly Saloon, Mario Bello plays Lil, the tough-as-nails bar owner inspired by the bar’s real life owner, entrepreneur Liliana Lovell. On top of her character having an extensive knowledge of the alcohol beverages, her command over other girls equally as hot as her is even more impressive.

She may seem cold and demanding but Portia De Rossi as Veronica Palmer is so much more than that. She believes that a productive workplace is one where she rules in an emotionless, demeaning way. While she may not form healthy relationships with people (she feeds her sister while she’s sleeping so she remains the skinny sibling, her father owns a rival company and they constantly compete), she does have a magician boyfriend, and she likes to get naked for him.

Sandra Bullock's editor-in-chief proposes to Ryan Reynolds and he groans about it. What? If a beautiful, self-sufficient, intelligent woman with a great body who happens to have the power to boost your career wants you to marry her, you do it. Even if you divorce later, there's perks and raises to be had in the meantime.

TV Show: Ugly Betty (2006-2010)
With Vanessa Williams as the villain, we’re willing to overlook the fact that her character Wilhelmina Slater, creative director of the fictional MODE magazine, is essentially the Cruella de Vil of the fashion publishing industry. Strip away the former supermodel’s conceitedness, manipulativeness, and her materialistic personality and you’ve got a woman we’d actually be fighting to get coffee for.

TV Show: Entourage (2004-2011)
Zimmer’s Dana Gordon was the head of a Hollywood studio who could make or break the careers of the Tinseltown’s A-list with a phone call. Yet, what made her attractive was that she was only woman other than Mrs. Ari who could manipulate the foul-mouthed, all-powerful Ari Gold into submission. It’s difficult not to respect and admire a woman with bigger balls, so to speak, than the most ruthless guy in the industry.

How is a horny dentist a horrible boss who's trying to bang you a horrible boss? Generally, a hot nymphomaniac with a power complex should be regarded as a blessing. But maybe that's just us. Charlie Day’s best-husband-in-history character couldn’t accept Aniston throwing herself at him in the workplace. What he’d call sexual harassment, we’d call a work bonus.

Film: Any Given Sunday (1999)
In the football drama, Diaz plays Christina Pagniacci, the woman of our dreams we hadn’t realized we wanted until seeing the film. Not only has she got the figure we see in our fantasies and the brains that’ll make our mother proud, but she also serves as the owner and general manager of her own football team, the fictional Miami Sharks. Just imagine the pride of being able to say: “My girlfriend owns an NFL team.”

2. ROBIN GIVENS

Film: Boomerang (1992)
In the 1992 romantic comedy, Givens plays Jacqueline Broyer, an advertising executive who becomes the boss of Eddie Murphy’s womanizing and chauvinistic character and someone he realizes is a female version of himself. Even though Murphy's character didn't end up with the bossy Jacqueline, he probably still thought about her fine ass from time to time.

Film: Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)
Whether she’s in stealthy all-black attire or an oversize button-down shirt, Angelina Jolie as the head of the wonderfully all-female branch of the C.I.A. in Los Angeles might be the only woman in power who can stimulate us and intimidate us to our knees at the same time. If the film were reality, she’d probably be the most effective, too; who wouldn’t want to submit to her probing?
