Sonic the Hedgehog is turning 20 years old and to celebrate, Sonic Generations features gameplay comprised of key moments and settings from past games in the franchise's deep history.  Gamers will get to play as Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic as they gobble as many rings as possible and spiral through levels like a bat-outta-hell.  Sonic Generations is set to release on November 1 for the major consoles, but Sega has been tight-lipped about the Nintendo 3DS version...until now.  The launch date for Sonic on the 3D handheld will be on November 22 and many of the 3DS levels won't be found on the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions.  Exclusive content and glasses-free 3D might be good enough reasons to wait a few extra weeks for Sonic Generations to hit the 3DS.
