While other things happen in the wild world, a group of courageous students at Palm Beach State College in Florida have taken up a cause: ending the tyranny of leaf blowers.
They call themselves SAVE, or Students Against Volatile Emissions. What sort of emissions? Noise emissions. Leaf blowers are too loud. We're going to shout ourselves hoarse trying to communicate over the damn racket.
Also, SAVE doesn't like the leaf blowers for the other sorts of emissions. The ones that negatively impact the environment. See, they've thought of everything.
The students of SAVE would like to see a total ban on leaf blowers.
