Remember "Joe The Plumber", the man who was the mascot for John McCain's failed 2008 Presidential campaign? Well he's back, and he's looking to unclog the drains of our government by running for Congress in Ohio's Ninth District, according to The Huffington Post. Apparently, Joe is getting rid of "The Plumber" moniker and is now running under his legal name, Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher. According to his website, he is running as a Republican.

Wurzelbacher first broke on to the political scene after he objected to then-candidate Barack Obama's plan to eliminate the Bush tax cuts for people making over $250,000. The McCain camp quickly recruited him to help with their campaign and appeal to the middle-class. At first it was a huge win for McCain because Wurzelbacher was the voice of the people.

As it turns out, he was an unlicensed plumber that actually would have benefitted from Obama's plan. This ruined any credibility that Joe had, and was a huge blow to McCain's chances. For any other campaign, this gaffe would have been the most humiliating, but seeing as though McCain had Sarah Palin as a running mate, this blunder ranked somewhere in the middle.

Now Wurzelbacher apparently thinks that his 15 minutes of fame will be enough to score him a seat in Congress. When you think about it, could he really be much worse than our current elected officials?
