Say hello to Battlelog, EA’s answer to Call of Duty XP. When Battlefield 3 launches later this month, it will also introduce the world to an entirely new social network built entirely around the BF3 universe. Just like the Autolog feature introduced in last year’s Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, this new initiative will drive the competition within the game and keep you in touch with your friends, in and out of the game.
Battlelog is going to be more than just a stat-tracking website, it is built to function as a full, free-standing social network. You will be able to track you and your friends performances in the game, chat about matches in real time, and chat on message boards at no additional cost from your initial purchase. Applications will be available for your PC and mobile device in addition to the interaction offered through the actual game.
Hey Activision, it’s your move.
