Obviously, you know where that leaves the iPad.

These days, the tablet market is absolutely flooded with everyone trying to make a quick buck on the of-the-moment device. But according to comScore analytics, Apple might be the only one actually doing good business in the market, if Internet traffic is any indicator.

In August, the iPad alone accounted for a ridiculous 97.2 percent of all web traffic via tablets. Doing some quick mental math reveals that every other tablet from every other manufacturer only accounted for 2.8 percent. Furthermore, the iPad even generates more web-surfing than the iPhone now.

Apple pretty much has no competition in the space until the Amazon Kindle Fire finally hits stores. And so, instead of trying to match Apple, perhaps competitors should look to HP—in retrospect, they seem to have been ahead of the curve in axing their TouchPad tablet.
