If Curtis Jackson continues at this rate, he'll outnumber his film soundtrack credits with acting credits. After setting up shop with his production company Cheetah Vision, the rapper-turned-actor is set to star in an action film called The Pursuit. Written by Matt Johnson, the plot follows the pursuit of a bank robber by a cop and a criminal, who team up with the common goal to track the baddie down, each for their own reasons. Adding to the mix is a U.S. Marshall who hopes to prevent the duo from murdering the convict, so that he can be brought to righteous justice.

Now before you go thinking, "50's playing another hoodlum again," the Queens, New York rhymesayer is cast to play the cop in the film, which will begin production in Louisiana in February 2012. The Pursuit isn't the G-Unit General's only upcoming acting gig, as we've reported before, Fif is credited for five other yet-to-premiere projects. These include Vengeance, which stars Danny Trejo, Jason Mewes, and Donal Logue; Fire With Fire with Josh Duhamel and Bruce Willis; and Freelancers with Robert De Niro. All are in the can and are being prepared for release.

The Pursuit, directed by longtime collaborator Jesse Terrero, will make additional casting announcements in the coming weeks.
