Trailer Park: Is "The Raid" The Best Kick-Ass Action Movie Of 2012?

This video does contain extreme violence and is not intended for viewers under the age of 18.

Believe us when we say that this red band trailer for the indie sensation The Raid is batshit crazy. Making its debut this past weekend at the Toronto International Film Festival, director Gareth Evans action flick opened to rave reviews. If you haven't pressed play yet, don't worry we'll wait for the insanity to seap in once you've done so.

The Raid follows a swat team which is trapped in a run-down apartment block filled with the world's most dangerous killers and gangsters. Long considered to be untouchable by even the bravest of police men, the elite law force sneaks into the place under the cover of pre-dawn darkness and silence to take down the notorious drug lord that runs it. When news of their impending assault reaches the nefarious narcos, it's a full-scale gunfight, as the building's lights are cut and all the exits are blocked.

Starring Indonesian martial arts sensation Iko Uwais, the unit must escape the sixth floor and fight their way through the city's worst to survive their mission. Let's just say that this is one that'll be one our must-watch list! Be on the lookout for The Raid to storm theaters in 2011 and co-stars Doni Alamsyah, Joe Taslim, Yayan Ruhian, and Ray Sahetapy.
