24 year-old Catherine Li is on a mission.
Li has spent the last 7 months walking across America, not for the attention (which she’s getting), but simply because she’s young and able. When MSNBC got wind of her story, Li told them she “just felt like walking” and finally decided to start “living in the actual moment instead of inventing all these fantastic fantasies for the future.”
Li’s journey, which started in the Bay Area, will span 3,000 miles all the way to New York City. During her epic journey, she’s met a bunch of random characters, most of whom are supportive of her cross-country walk. Hopefully, when she’s completed her Forrest Gump-like expedition, she’ll pen some type of memoir. Maybe it’ll inspire others to get off of their lazy asses and start doing something.
