3. Motorola Xoom 2
Release date: TBD
Why we’re excited: The Motorola Xoom was the only tablet able to go head to head with the iPad and iPad 2. It was fast, slim, and ran Google’s all-new Honeycomb Android software. The second iteration of the popular tablet is supposed to up the ante with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1 GB of ram, 1080p video recording capabilities, and a profile that’s a touch thicker than the iPad. Throw in some accessories like a special stylus and keyboard, along with wirelessly PC syncing, 11-hour battery life, and a built-in IR blaster and it sounds like Moto’s got a winner on its hands. We just hope the commercials are better this time around.
