5. Asus Eee Pad Transformer with Quad Core Kal-El

Why we’re excited: One reason, really: quad-core processors. We honestly can’t say we’ve ever used a dual-core tablet and thought to ourselves, “I really wish this tablet had more power.” That said, the idea of a tablet having four cores is too tempting not to use. The chip at the heart of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer will be NVIDIA’s next-gen quad-core Kal-El processor. Many thought it would be available to manufacturers by the end of 2011, but it got pushed back like a Jeezy album. And like the Jeezy album, we can’t wait cop it once it drops.
