Looks like someone has gotten a taste for the criminal life.

After robbing banks alongside Ben Affleck (and scoring an Oscar nomination for doing so) in The Town, Jeremy Renner is now attached to produce and star in the non-fiction tome King of Heists. Based on the true-life tale of George Leslie, Renner will play the man, who in the 1860s, arrived as a dapper gent in New York and stole $3 million from the prestigious Manhattan Savings institution. Leslie was so dastardly in his meticulous planning that no one even suspected his involvement in the caper until after his death.

Will Staples, who is also involved in penning the sci-fi project Myth for James Cameron, is adapting J. North Conway's work for the big screen. Meanwhile, Renner has been on a more heroic high lately, working on Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Bourne Legacy reboot, and will reprise his role as Hawkeye in The Avengers.
