Since director Ruben Fleischer exploded onto the scene with the zom-com horror flick Zombieland, he has Hollywood talking again with The Gangster Squad. The story will follow Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin as Los Angeles cops in the ‘40s on the hunt for notorious mobster Mickey Cohen, which is played by Sean Penn. But before the bullets start flying, Gosling gets cozy with Emma Stone in these recently leaked set photos.
Sporting some nifty threads, Gosling and Stone are featured in some decent shots. The dapper dan is featured with Stone as arm candy as they take their bulldog for a walk. Clearly this looks to be the calm before the storm since Gosling and Brolin have to lead Anthony Mackie, Michael Pena, and Giovanni Ribisi into a dogfight of their own versus Cohen and Holt McCallany. Warner Bros. crime drama The Gangster Squad comes to theaters in 2013.
