Showtime has released a new promo for season 6 of Dexter and it's not just a vague and flimsy sneak peek. The juicy new trailer shows a slew of new guest starts in action, including Colin Hanks, Edward James Olmos and a most intriguing appearance by Mos Def.

Mos Def (who recently changed his name to Yasiin, if you hadn't heard) will be playing former ex-con Brother Sam, a man who has been drastically reformed by religion and is described as an ally by Dexter (Michael C. Hall) on the promo. And from the looks of it, Brother Sam might even play a role in Dex's search for spirituality.

Meanwhile, Colin Hanks who appears to be Dexter's adversary and the direct antithesis to Mos's role, as Travis, who is doing evil under the guise of religion, with Edward James Olmos playing Professor Gellar, his equally warped mentor. And, we even get a glimpse of a possible new love interest for Dexter, new nanny Jamie Batista (Aimee Garcia).

See? No weak trailers here! This should definitely hold us over until Sunday, October 2, when Dexter returns to his 9 P.M. slot on Showtime.
