Come October 1, the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles will increase the rates on transactions such as fees for residential parking permits and changing addresses. D.C. residents usually pay $15 to apply for parking permits, but next month they’ll have to pay $35. In addition, the cost of getting another driver’s license, permit, identification, and registration card or changing your address go from $7 to $20. All of this should make moving, and visiting the DMV, all the more fun.
