When Dance Central 2 launches later this Fall, you will have the option of importing all of the songs from the first game into the new one… but it is going to cost you. Microsoft and Harmonix have confirmed that it will cost gamers 400 Microsoft points in order to import songs from Dance Central into Dance Central 2.

Considering that most music-game players are used to being able to just import their songs thanks to the standards that have been set by the Rock Band series, this seems like a little bit of price gouging. It comes across as sort of a cover charge for returning players.

Dance Central 2 launches exclusively for the Xbox 360 and Kinect on October 25, 2011.
