Hopefully, you haven't had your fill of Ryan Reynolds as a supernatural hero, because the Green Lantern star will be using his own body to fight crime in R.I.P.D. Currently in production in Boston, Reynolds plays slain police officer Nick Walker, who pledges 100 years of service to the afterlife police force, in exchange for the opportunity to hunt down his killer. Celebuzz snapped these set photos featuring Jeff Bridges and Reynolds wearing some fancy threads and a classic leather gun holster like an old time detective.
Interestingly enough, in R.I.P.D. the pair walk amongst the living, with their bodies taking on different forms. Bridges, who plays veteran officer of the department Roy, will have an earth body in the form of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and Victoria's Secret model Marisa Miller. Kevin Bacon, after playing a mutant bad guy in X-Men: First Class, increases his villain profile as an undead evildoer.
Robert Schwentke (Red) is directing the Dark Horse Comics adaptation and is working towards a June 28, 2013 release date.
