With the next iPhone set to hit stores within the next few weeks, we surmise there's a large portion of Spring and T-Mobile subscribers hoping and praying that the Apple handset winds up on their network. And judging from recent rumors, that outcome seemed all but inevitable. Until now. During a Town Hall meeting held last week, T-Mobile's Chief Marketing Officer, Cole Brodman, shut down all expectations of the iPhone coming to his network this year.
Careful not to mince words, Brodman simply told T-Mobile employees: "We are not going to get the iPhone 5 this year." That doesn't mean the nation's fourth largest wireless carrier won't get the iPhone 5 in 2012, it means, if and when the new model is announced in October, it won't have it. Still, nothing's official until it's official.
