When the 63-year-old former politician announced that he was planning a high-profile comeback, it seemed like Hollywood was rolling out the red carpet for Arnold Schwarzenegger. Then, calamity struck, when he went from Last Action Hero to The Sperminator, after word broke that he cheated on his wife with their in-house help. Since the storm has subsided, Schwarzenegger has picked up roles in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables 2 with Bruce Willis and the lead in director Jee-woon Kim's The Last Stand

Now, word from Deadline is that the Governator is reportedly circling the lead role in Captive, which Emmett/Furla Films is producing. The screenplay was written by Benjamin A. van der Veen and would find Schwarzenegger portraying a successful American real estate tycoon living in Brazil.  He is kidnapped and locked in the prison cell of an armored truck, while a detective specializing in ransoms searches for him.

With his much-publicized matrimonial problems behind him, Captive is currently being shipped out to directors, and it isn't clear when production may start. Captive hopes to comes to theaters in 2013.
