There are plenty of things that we love in this world, but right near the top of that list, next to pictures of Kate Upton, is cinematic violence. The second trailer for Killer Elite contains more punching on display in the two minute clip than we've seen in every other film combined so far this year. Everyone involved seems ready to hit anything and everything in sight.
The flick finds Jason Statham, Clive Owen, and Robert De Niro starring in this tale about a group of former British special forces members who are being hunted by assassins. Honestly speaking, this Statham/Owen fight has been a long time coming (fans of Crank and Shoot 'Em Up can understand), and it looks a hell of a lot better than the Fast Five slugfest involving Vin Diesel versus The Rock did.
Although we can't pretend that Killer Elite is going to be a new action classic, the action is packed, the stunts look pretty good, and it's always good to see De Niro present and engaged in a movie. Look out for the Gary McKendry directed flick to hit theaters on September 23, 2011.
