And you thought Tony Soprano was a monster. Showtime has begun developing The Damned, a comic book adaptation that focuses on a Chicago small timer trying to keep demon mobsters at bay while he reclaims his soul.
The project will be written by David Hayter (Watchmen) and based on the indie comic book by Cullen Bunn. With genre mixing all the rage lately, expect this one to get some pretty heavy publicity over the next year; whether or not Showtime ends up airing the show remains to be seen.
