Samsung: We Do Not Want Hewlett-Packard's PC Business

The Korean electronics company says its good on acquiring HP's computer arm.

After it decided to dead its TouchPad tablet and WebOS mobile operating system, Hewlett-Packard decided it wanted to get rid of its storied computer division. The same computer division that's outselling every other PC maker in the world. Despite claims that the PC is dead, you would expect a number of companies to line up for the chance to acquire the business at a good price, right? Yep, just not Samsung. The Korean consumer electronics company denied that it was looking to buy HP's PC business, but rumors persisted. So today Samsung CEO Geosung Choi looked to dead the rumors once and for all saying, "To put to rest any speculation on this issue, I would like to definitively state that Samsung Electronics will not acquire Hewlett-Packard’s PC business."
