Of course, if it is a fake, it seems like a fairly elaborate one.

Thanks to the wonders of the internetS (© Dallas Penn), you can get your hands on stuff early. One person in particular has already done so by uploading a YouTube video revealing some of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer details. The clip has already been taken down, and didn't show any gameplay, but featured footage of someone scrolling around the game's multiplayer menus.

The Escapist reports that the mysterious gamer played the Xbox 360 version of the game and found that at least some of the maps or modes will feature 32-players. That means up to two full basketball squads can participate in some outrageous online open-shooting. The site also listed 13 maps: Carbon, Coast, Dome, Exchange, Hardhat, Interchange, Lambeth, Meteora, Mogadishu, Paris, Plaza, Radar, and Seatown. We're not sure if these are all confirmed multiplayer maps that will appear in the final retail game. Until then gamers, take it as rumor until someone at Activision and Infinity Ward deems this official intel.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 looks to take home the first place prize of first-person shooters when it hits stores on November 8th.
